Our house signs are made of best quality rustic oak and the letters are carved into the wood. Carved letters can be either infilled with white or black weatherproof paint or left natural. The house signs are available in four different sizes: 20cm x 40 cm (7.87inch x 15.75inch), 20cm x 60cm (7.87inch x 23.62inch), 20cm x 80cm (7.87inch x 31.50inch), 20cm x 100cm (7.87inch x 39.37inch). Our standard font is Lucinda Sans however we can use most fonts. If you would like to have the letters engraved in a font which is not available in the drop down list above, please specify the font in the "delivery instructions" box which you will see on the next screen. Letter size is normally adjusted to suit the sign. For an extra charge we can engrave company logos / pictures. Please email us a logo or image and we will price this engraving service for you.

The timber comes from european ecologically supervised forests. All products are made from solid oak harvested from Polish certified sustainable forests.Oak is a hardwood tree found all over the world. It produces a beautiful and strong wood. Because of oak wood's natural properties, a little bit of care can make the wood last for decades without losing its beauty.
The highest quality timber is selected and acquired from Polish forests under strictly regulated conditions.
Whenever possible, we use fallen pieces of oak wood, which would otherwise be either chopped or burnt.
This is a time consuming and expensive process but it allows us not only to manufacture unique products, but also to work in harmony with the environment.

Oak kept outside requires a systematic maintenance at least once a year: dry the house sign thoroughly, clean it and work on it with sand paper (grit 100-200) before applying the new finish. Then treat it with light-coloured preservative wood stain (Sadolin Classic, colour number 88 is recommended by the manufacturer) or wood oil. Alternatively, you may leave the house sign unattended and only sometimes wash it with a brush and mild soap. In this way it will naturally turn silvery-grey. Regardless of the chosen way of maintaining the furniture, we strongly advise coating it with wood oil several times. Its deep penetration protects timber against extensive drying and decreases cracking of surface.

A computer controlled engraving up to 50 letters direct into the sign is included in the price. The letters are machine-carved which ensures perfect height and shape, but more importantly wording is deep (unlike laser or sandblasting) and won't vanish after a short period of time.
