The Turnberry mahogany bench is a traditionally designed bench with flat arm rests for placing your drinks, shaped seat and back for maximum comfort and a curved inscription rail. This is a strong bench suitable for public places with 6 cm leg profile.

Wood engraving is available on one or two lines on top rail and one line only on bottom rail (the rail below the seat), is perfect to wood engraving with large deep cut lettering

All benches are delivered assembled.

The bench is manufactured using cornis oiled mahogany from responsibly managed forests. (KHAYA SENEGALENSIS)

The dense almost knot-free grain of mahogany comes with an oiled finish giving it a smooth lustre. It is pink to reddish brown colour. This is a moderately durable hardwood, able to resist the most inclement weather, giving a life span of ten years if properly looked after, it is therefore well suited for garden furniture. Due to the weathering process and timber being a natural material, joints will become slightly offset and surface cracks will occur. Depending on the climatic conditions when your bench is outside, this can happen within only a few hours and will not compromise the strength of the bench, which is designed with this in mind. Using Alexander Rose timber care products will to an extent, reduce the cracks and splits.

Engraving
You have a choice of a computer controlled engraving direct into the wooden top rail and or seat rail of the bench. The maximum number of carved letters for this bench is 55 characters per line (including spaces). This bench can also accommodate 2 lines of text on the bench back top rail and or one line on the seat front rail. A 1.5 inch wide area in the centre of the seat front rail cannot be engraved due to the way how the bench is constructed. 

Care
To preserve its original colour for as long as possible, we recommend applying Cornis Oil annually. Over time, small cracks and splits may appear as the timber moves but these won't affect durability.
